Dawlish Carnival and Air Show


The Dawlish Carnival starts on Saturday 14th August and the Air Show is on the Thursday. Programmes for the Carnival can be purchased at various shops in the area, including the shop in the Village.

Residents Association meeting tomorrow

The General Meeting will take place in the Village Hall on Friday 11 June starting at 7.15pm. The guest speaker will be Sandra Littlejohn, Co-ordinator of AIMS, a local charity that supports families of children with special needs.

Resident Association letters

The Residents Association has recently written to South West Water and the Environment Agency regarding problems with drainage and sewage in Smugglers Lane.

In addition, the Association has written to Teignbridge District Council regarding the state of repair of the Monteray Pine in the gardens at Leigh House.

Torbay Express

The Torbay Express came through Holcombe today (see video) and will be running every Sunday during the summer.


Little Leigh

The application for outline planning permission at Little Leigh has been approved by Teignbridge after the applicant submitted revised plans with the development being fully within the village boundary. In approving the application, Teignbridge has reserved all matters, such as number of houses, access, drainage etc, until detailed plans are submitted.

Village Hall driveway

In August, the approach to the Village Hall is going to be relaid to reduce the camber and to make it easier for cars to get into the car park. Volunteers are needed to help out after this work is done, to make good the surrounding area. If you can spare some time, please let Fred or Carole Comber know.

Torbay Express
